Select Board to Discuss Community Power

It has been over a year since many of you signed a petition to put an article on the Town Warrant of Hollis advising the Select Board that Hollis citizens want the option of Community Power.  It has been eight months since this article was approved at the Hollis Town Meeting by a significant majority.  Unfortunately, progress by the Select Board has been slower than supporters of Community Power would like, and the earliest Hollis could get Community Power is now 2025.  This issue is scheduled to be discussed again at the Select Board meeting on Monday November 27, starting at 6:30 PM in the Community Room of Hollis Town Hall.    Henry Herndon, the Director of Member Services for the Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire, will be at the meeting to address the Select Board’s concerns, hopefully to their satisfaction.  If you want Community Power in Hollis, please come to this meeting. A large turnout of supporters will show the Select Board that the Town wants them to get moving on this project.
